Frequently Asked Questions

I am always adding FAQ’s. Please check back regularly

  • My business hours are Monday-Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM so most pickups and deliveries will be done between these hours. At times I will deviate from these hours because I work around my children’s school and activity schedules. After you schedule your appointment, I will provide you with a more specific time for your pickup and your delivery.

  • One of the main functions of my business is to provide a convenient and time-saving service to my clients, which includes picking up and delivering laundry. Therefore I do not have a physical, public location.

However, as of 2025, I am offering clients the option to drop off and pick of their laundry order at my home if they would like. In return, I will add a 5% discount to their invoice.

  • I am using our personal machines to wash and dry your laundry. And, while I realize this may seem unusual, it is actually much more common than most people realize. Most services similar to mine have this business model, even in the corporate environment. When you consider how many businesses are now functioning out of residences, it may not be as odd. If you’ll allow your financial advisor to keep your personal and financial data in their home…why not allow Snoqualmie Suds to wash your laundry?

  • Tipping can be a difficult subject for people to approach. I do not believe tips should be required or expected. A tip is a gift of gratitude for a service I provided well. So, if you feel inclined to tip me, please know that it will always be welcome and appreciated.

  • You do not need to provide any supplies. The per pound price is for the entire service including your detergent, fabric softeners, dryer sheets or wool dryer balls, and bins or bags. If you prefer to provide a specific product, I will ask that you write your name on the items to ensure it is returned to you with your laundry.

  • My policy for stained items is that the client put the stained items in a separate bag as a signal to me that they need to be addressed. I will always attempt to remove stains as I see them. Stains are always best addressed prior to drying! I use a variety of products and if the source of the stain is known, I can research the best products and methods for removal. It should be noted, however, that while my best effort goes into removing stains, they may not be washed out completely.

  • This is a great question! And, most of the time the answer will be yes! Boys play in the mud, construction clothing is extra dirty, workout clothing is sweaty, babies are messy, food and drinks spill, and blood happens. While I do want to assist in every way I can, I do need to draw the line when it comes to laundry that is soiled with vomit or feces. I ask that you please wash these items at your residence. It should also be noted that I run a cleaning cycle in my machines between orders or as needed to ensure my machines are well-cared for. Remember, I use them for my own laundry too!

  • No, this is not a service I provide at this time.

  • Absolutely! I can fit up to a king comforter in my washer and dryer. Since king-sized comforters do fill the machine, I run it 2x to ensure it is thoroughly washed. Drying also does take more time than a standard order, so your patience is appreciated if it takes longer than anticipated. Please note that the minimum weight does apply, even if only a comforter is sent.

  • If you are on a recurring service, I will provide you with an appropriate number of 18qt. plastic bins for your laundry order. The bin(s) will be identified with my business name and your client name. Please note: If you are a recurring client, I will highly discourage the constant use of plastic bags. It’s simply not good for the environment.

If you are a one-time or short-term client, your laundry will be returned in plastic bags, also clearly identified with the business and client names. I am happy to take your used bags back from you with your subsequent pickup (when applicable) and send them in with our plastic recycling service, Ridwell.

If you have items being returned on hangers and you are a long-term client, they will be covered with a reusable, plastic garment bag. Short-term or one-time client hanging items will be returned in a disposable plastic garment bag.

  • On the morning of your first pickup, simply place your laundry in standard kitchen garbage bags by your front door and I will pick them up. It’s that easy. Your completed order will be left in the same location.

  • Once your order is picked up, I can send a text letting you know that I have your order safely in my possession. Then, when it is returned, I can send a text confirmation if you’d like. I also take pictures of every pickup and drop off that I can include at the bottom of your invoice. I keep copies of every picture I take and can provide those on request.

  • I use a large parcel digital scale to weigh your laundry. The weight is rounded to the nearest tenth of a pound. A picture of your laundry being weighed can also be included on your invoice.

  • I do not require that you sort your laundry, but I completely understand if that’s what you choose to do! I simply ask that you are clear if this is what you prefer. Typically, orders will be sorted into categories such as: jeans/pants, delicates, towels, bedding, shirts, etc. However, specific sorting will depend on the items in your particular order.

  • Once your order is weighed, I will send you an invoice with a link to pay for the service. This will be within 24 hours of your pickup. Payment is expected upon receipt.

  • I offer a standing 15% discount to our military men and women as well as their spouses.

  • At this time ironing is not a service I provide.

  • At this time textile/clothing repair is not a service I provide.

  • No worries! Over the years, I have found money, key fabs, hair accessories, receipts, etc. These items are placed in a small plastic bag and placed on the top of the clothing. Rest assured, your items will always be returned to you.

  • If I had been asked this question when I started in the laundry business, the answer would have been YES! Since then, I have laundered thousands of pounds of laundry (yes, thousands!) so it does not bother me. I take precautions for my own health and safety through the use of gloves. I sanitize my folding counter and machines, in addition to keeping a very clean laundry room. The laundry room pictured on the website is my laundry room!
